Last month, this blog turned nine years old. While that’s a scary thing in of itself (I’ve been writing about booze for about a quarter of my life), it also shows me how long it’s been since I first met (at least virtually) some of the folks in the whisky blogging world. I’ve known Gal Granov from WhiskyIsrael for almost a decade and now, after years of me sending him whisky from work, he has returned the favour and sent me a sample of a dram that he’s bottled – The Holy Dram Inchmoan 2004.

Loch Lomond is a distillery that hasn’t got much love in recent years. Fortunately, that’s been changing and the newly revitalised company is beginning turn heads. Its latest release looks to continue that trend – Loch Lomond Single Grain Scotch Whisky.
Inchmurrin 12 Year Old – Whisky Advent Calendar Day #21
Today’s whisky is one that has intrigued me enough over the past few months that I had to grab a bottle. I’ve not tried it, but the buzz around it from people who have has been impressive.
So, for day 20 of my advent calendar, I will be trying Inchmurrin 12 Year Old.
